What about Future School Pedagogical Content?

A. Teaching Method

I believe that the achievement of learning goals depends on whether the teaching method used by a teacher is good or not. Therefore, it is important for teachers to understand the context of the material to be taught so that it will certainly facilitate the process of knowledge transfer in the process of learning activities.

The learning method that I apply to grade 1 elementary school children is the Play Method, which is an approach method where the learning process is carried out through fun, interactive, and game-related activities. In this method, learning is not only theoretical but also practive, so that students can directly engage with the material learned through fun activities. This method is especially effective for Grade 1 elementary school children, because their age is still a child's age, so playing while learning is a natural way for them to explore, and understand the world around them. For example, when learning with the theme of getting to know the concept of color and color mixing, I as a teacher invite students to group objects around them that have the same color, and teach students to play by pouring color paint into water to form a new color. This can form a new concept of the child's color combination that can produce other new colors. I also invite students to play adjusting the writing and objects in english that have been pasted on the blackboard.

Before starting the learning class, i always play them a learning spectacle that suits the learning theme of the day, then listen to them simple music and dance together. The goal is to arouse their enthusiasm for learning, and not to eliminate the boring impression of learning. I also give touches such as warm hugs, so that children feel safe and comfortable learning with me.

B. Learning Materials & Innovation

Learning materials and innovation are certainly very important in the learning process to ensure that the teaching and learning process becomes more effective, relevant, interesting, and adaptive to the changing times. Based on the results of my observations, teachers use whiteboards, learning videos, Power Points, photos, and several media in their learning. The tool helps teachers deliver material and makes it easier for students to understand the material presented. They are also very happy and enthusiastic about learning using a variety of visuals that can spoil their eyes. So, when teaching, I also bring some media and posters to help students understand abstract concepts to become real in their memory and understanding.

C. Sources of Learning and Technology

The main source of learning material in class 1R & 1O with the topic of color refers to the Uverbody Up Module 1 pages 17-18 and reference sources from Google and Youtube. Teachers also use Power Point to make the classroom atmosphere look more fun. In the learning process, teachers also use Smart TV as a tool in presenting materials, playing videos and displaying photos. Of course, this will help teachers and students in the process of learning activities.

D. Authentic Assessment

In the assessment that I do, I will give the children stickers, so the better the children answer, the more stickers they will receive. I do an assessment of the process of working on the task that I use as an evaluation sheet for children's work. For example, when I provide paper that contains children, they must combine the right colors and be able to answer what colors appear, then I will give 2 stickers at once. Furthermore, in another lesson, when the child is able to match between words in English and pictures that have been pasted on the board, I will appreciate it by giving 2 stickers at once.

E. Overall Impression of My Cooperating Teacher

Ms. Marie is one of the professional teachers I have met so far. He prepares everything well before teaching, is always creative and can build the classroom to be more fun, safe and comfortable well, so that the children always welcome him with a feeling of joy as well. He always holds the principle that the teacher's job is to teach knowledge to students by feeling comfortable and safe to learn together. She can be a mother and a friend to students, has a loud voice and always looks professional. I hope that I can teach like Ms. Marie by creating the best version of myself, taking responsibility for her duties and role as a teacher who educates students very well and is always pleasing to students.
